This splendid room has frescos painted by Ludovico Dorigny (1654-1742) where “the pictorial fantasy of Dorigny has left us one of his most representative
and important works of art” (Viviani 1975). The frescos depict mythological scenes including Perseo and the Medusa, the battle between the Centaurs and the
Lapiths and the Titans carrying the signs of the zodiac. The vivid frescoed figures are placed within an extremely complex setting.
The breathtaking trompe l’oeil perspective effects are attributed to Francesco Bibiena (1659-1739). The room is 20m long, 9m wide and about 12m high with
floor heating. It is the ideal place for gala evenings, conventions or award ceremonies.
